Baseball Recap: Middleborough Comes Up Short

Middleborough was the 5-4 winner over Sandwich when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Sachems fell just short of the Blue Knights by a score of 5-4 on Thursday.

Middleborough's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Sandwich, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 12-5.

Looking ahead, Middleborough will be playing at home against Durfee at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Sandwich, they are taking a road trip to challenge Rockland at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
