After a string of eight wins, Wise's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 69-55 bruising from the Lake Taylor Titans. If the Pumas were looking for revenge after losing 63-58 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Wise had strong showings from Dion Walker, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 21 points, and Cayden Hargrove, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Eric Wedge, who posted four points and five steals.

Wise's defeat ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-2. As for Lake Taylor, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wise will host DuVal at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Wise knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully DuVal likes a good challenge. As for Lake Taylor, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Norview at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Norview's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
