Soccer Recap: Riverside Prep Takes a Loss

The Riverside Prep Silver Knights lost 5-1 to the Rialto Knights on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Silver Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 401st, while the Knights are ranked 33rd).

Riverside Prep's goal came courtesy of Hector Martinez, which was the first he's scored this season.

Riverside Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Rialto, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Riverside Prep wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Victor Valley on the 10th. As for Rialto, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Arroyo Valley on the 6th.
