Basketball Recap: Harrisburg Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

Harrisburg won the last time they faced Carterville and things went their way on Thursday too. The Harrisburg Bulldogs came out on top against the Carterville Lions by a score of 33-25. The 33-point effort marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Despite the loss, Carterville saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Maya Toliver went 5 of 9 on her way to 10 points.

Harrisburg has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. As for Carterville, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-16.

Harrisburg has already played their next matchup, a 74-39 loss against Mt. Vernon on the 1st. As for Carterville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 51-47 defeat against Chester on the 1st.
