Basketball Game Preview: Currituck County Knights vs. Holmes Aces

The Currituck County Knights will head out to challenge the Holmes Aces at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Currituck County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Currituck County turned things around against Manteo on Friday. They came out on top against the Redskins by a score of 79-72.

Jamie Dance continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 8 for 14 on his way to 36 points. His evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristan Peterson, who went 8 of 14 en route to 22 points.

Meanwhile, Holmes played a tough matchup on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against First Flight, falling 72-52. The Aces were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-27.

Holmes dropped their record down to 8-8 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Currituck County, their victory bumped their record up to 11-8.

Currituck County came up short against Holmes when the teams last played two weeks ago, falling 61-56. Can Currituck County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
