Basketball Recap: Westside Takes a Loss

Westside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 32nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Howard Huskies and fell 58-22. The Patriots were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-8.

Westside's loss came despite strong showings from Makayla Bridges and Nevaeh Glover. Bridges posted six points, while Glover earned six points.

Westside's record now sits at 0-13. As for Howard, they moved to 5-6 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westside will face off against Aquinas at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Westside is facing Aquinas at the right time seeing as Aquinas is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Howard, they and Northeast will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. Howard has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
