Volleyball Recap: Elgin's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Elgin hadn't done well against Perry recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Comets were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Commodores. The win was familiar territory for the Comets, who have now won five matches in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-20, 25-11.

Jordan Wall paced Elgin's offense, picking up 11 kills. Wall got some help from Kadence Gear and her 14 assists. Wall was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Elgin's victory bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Perry, they dropped their record down to 2-20 with the loss, which was their tenth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Elgin will face off against Horizon Science Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Perry, after both having extra time off, they and New Bremen will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
