Softball Recap: Fruitland Takes a Loss

Fruitland fell victim to New Plymouth and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 18-0 to the Pilgrims. The Grizzlies have struggled against the Pilgrims recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Fruitland's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for New Plymouth, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-4.

Coming up, Fruitland will take on McCall-Donnelly at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Vandals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17.46 runs per game on average), something the Grizzlies will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for New Plymouth, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Vision at 5:00 p.m. New Plymouth is facing Vision at the right time seeing as Vision is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
