Westfield extends home winning streak to four

Recap: Westfield Mustangs vs. Aldine Mustangs

The Westfield Mustangs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Aldine as Westfield made off with a 66-41 win. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-14.

Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aniyah Bevly, who scored 11 points. Bevly scored a full 26.8% of Aldine's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Porsha Daniels, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds.

Westfield's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-8. As for Aldine, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost 12 of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-17 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westfield will be home for the holidays to greet Dekaney at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dekaney has now lost 14 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 6. Aldine will be home for the holidays to greet Spring at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Spring presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Aldine in Texas (Spring is ranked 231st, while Aldine is ranked 1413th).
