Basketball Game Preview: Lake Creek Lions vs. Beaumont United Timberwolves

Jay Mcshan was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds. That's the most points he has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Axel Anderson, who earned 11 points.

Meanwhile, Beaumont United didn't have too much breathing room in their game against La Porte on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 64-60 win. Given the Timberwolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 61st, while the Bulldogs are ranked 210th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Beaumont United has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.2 points over those games. Lake Creek's victory bumped their record up to 19-16.
