Recap: Webster County Trojans vs. Apollo Eagles
The Webster County Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their ninth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 55-37 to Apollo. Webster County has not had much luck with Apollo recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Apollo was led to victory by Jennifer Lee and Jenna Dant. Lee dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds, while Dant dropped a double-double on 29 points and 12 rebounds. Lee is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for four games straight.
Webster County dropped their record down to 1-16 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Apollo, their victory bumped their record up to 4-15.
Webster County will head out on the road to challenge Daviess County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Daviess County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Webster County in Kentucky (Daviess County is ranked 24th, while Webster County is ranked 211th). As for Apollo, they will be playing at home against McLean County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
