Volleyball Recap: Melrose Red Raiders vs. Wakefield Memorial Warriors

Melrose suffered their biggest loss since September 16th on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Wakefield Memorial Warriors. The Red Raiders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

While Melrose had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-23, 25-23.

Gen Overlan and Sabine Wenzel certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Overlan had 11 digs, while Wenzel had ten kills. Wenzel is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had seven or more in each of the last 18 games she's played dating back to last season.
