Basketball Recap: Tristan Taylor's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Clarkrange over Stone Memorial + How To Watch

If Clarkrange was feeling good fresh off their 72-52 takedown of Harriman on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Buffaloes took a 64-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stone Memorial Panthers on Thursday. The Buffaloes lost against the Panthers in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 80-49 score last time.

Several Buffaloes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tristan Taylor, who went 7-for-10 on his way to 19 points. Another player making a difference was Bryton Swallows, who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds.

Briggs Lowe continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Stone Memorial, putting up 13 points and eight boards. Lowe is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Hunter Haney was another key player, shooting 55% from the field en route to 13 points.

Clarkrange suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 7-2. As for Stone Memorial, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Looking ahead, Clarkrange will face off against Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on the 12th. As for Stone Memorial, they will head out to face off against Pickett County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bobcats have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games.
