With a playoff win on the line, Cherry rose to the challenge on Thursday. They put the hurt on the McGregor Mercuries with a sharp 61-38 win. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Cherry's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Charli Kangas, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 12 boards. Those 12 rebounds gave Kangas a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aunika Helms, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 13 boards.

Cherry smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 33 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in eight consecutive contests.

Cherry is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.6 points over those games. McGregor now has a losing record of 13-14.
