Basketball Recap: Trinity Christian Academy finds home court redemption against First Baptist Christian Academy

There's no place like home for the Trinity Christian Academy Eagles, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They secured a 73-68 W over First Baptist Christian Academy on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Despite the defeat, First Baptist Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Jayden McCoy dropped a double-double on 35 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points McCoy has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of CJ Giles, who scored six points along with six assists and five rebounds.

Trinity Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. As for First Baptist Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6.

Trinity Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Orcas at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. First Baptist Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
