Basketball Recap: Stamford Takes a Loss

Stamford lost against Ridgefield back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Stamford Black Knights fell to the Ridgefield Tigers 52-48. The Black Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Stamford saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jordan Sutton almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sutton has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ryan Connors, who posted seven points and six rebounds.

Stamford's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Ridgefield, they pushed their record up to 1-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Stamford will look to defend their home court on Friday against McMahon at 7:00 p.m. Stamford is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.5 points per game this season. As for Ridgefield, they will head out on the road to challenge Bridgeport Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
