Basketball Game Preview: North Haven Nighthawks vs. Suffield Wildcats

The North Haven Nighthawks will square off against the Suffield Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. North Haven is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.

North Haven is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They came out on top against Killingly by a score of 54-44.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Suffield). They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat Avon 75-46. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

North Haven pushed their record up to 12-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.2 points over those games. As for Suffield, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

North Haven was able to grind out a solid win over Suffield in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, winning 53-40. Will North Haven repeat their success, or does Suffield have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
