Palmer was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after defeating South Loup. The Tigers came in at 24 in the state poll after placing at number 27 last week.
Palmer led D1 District 8 (8 Man) in scoring this week after putting up 41 points on South Loup. Kordell Glause threw for 158 yards and 3 touchdowns and ran for 79 yards during the win.
Nathan Glause's team's dynamic duo of Glause and Josh Valasek proved tough for Andy Schwarz's team to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Mitch Glause helped Palmer's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 32 yards.
He went 8-28 with 2 interceptions.
Twin Loup's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Wolves feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jack Gibbens has thrown for 887 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, while Dexter Griebel has 18 catches for 400 yards.
Chett Hinton of the Twin Loup is only 83 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 145 carries Hinton has put up 917 yards this year.
Fans will be treated to a premier battle in the secondary when the Wolves' Griebel goes up against South Loup's Kyle Pierce.
Next week's game between Twin Loup and South Loup will feature an aerial matchup as Gibbens tests his arm against Pierce's defensive ability.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will go head-to-head with its top pass rusher when Mike Kozeal's team and South Loup face off next week.
At the moment, the Wolves are in first, while South Loup is in third.
