LaSalle-Peru is 10-0 against Mendota since January of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers will take on the Mendota Trojans in a holiday battle at at 3:30 p.m.

LaSalle-Peru will head out to face Mendota after giving up their first home loss of the season on Tuesday. LaSalle-Peru fell to Pontiac 50-45. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Cavaliers came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 177th, while the Indians are ranked 494th).

Meanwhile, Mendota hadn't done well against Princeton recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Mendota walked away with a 60-52 victory over Princeton.

LaSalle-Peru's loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-5. As for Mendota, they now also have a winning record of 6-5.

Everything came up roses for LaSalle-Peru against Mendota in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured a 75-43 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for LaSalle-Peru since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
