Basketball Recap: Pomona Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Pomona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Roosevelt Roughriders and fell 87-42.

Despite the loss, Pomona still got an impressive performance from Jayden Morine, who posted 16 points and three steals. Morine is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played dating back to last season.

It was another big night for Brooks Reckard, who went 6-for-10 from beyond the arc to rack up 32 points in addition to seven assists and seven rebounds for Roosevelt. The team also got some help courtesy of Heydyn Bahnsen-Price, who shot 42% from the field en route to 14 points along with five boards and four steals.

Pomona's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Roosevelt, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Pomona wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 61-32 defeat against Niwot on the 13th. As for Roosevelt, they have also already played their next contest, a 56-42 loss against Fort Collins on the 13th.
