It was a good run, but Hillsboro unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak dating back to last season on Saturday. They came up short against the Seckman Jaguars, falling 64-43. The loss was the Hawks' first of the season.

Despite the loss, Hillsboro still got an impressive performance from Brendan Poyner, who posted five points along with nine steals and seven assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Gregory Robinson, who had eight points and 12 rebounds.

Having lost for the first time this season, Hillsboro fell to 3-1. As for Seckman, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hillsboro will host Perryville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Seckman, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Seckman Jaguars duke it out with the Oakville Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
