After flying high against Pleasant Home last Friday, Goshen came back down to earth. The Goshen Eagles took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Carver Montgomery Wolverines on Monday. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Tyler McLendon was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played.

Goshen's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Carver Montgomery, their record is now 3-4.

Coming up, Goshen will challenge Brewbaker Tech at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Goshen is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season. As for Carver Montgomery, they will take on Morrow at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
