This season hasn't been kind to the Cristo Rey Saints, who are still winless after their fifth game. They lost to Sacramento Country Day at home by a decisive 58-43 margin on Saturday. Cristo Rey has not had much luck with Sacramento Country Day recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Sacramento Country Day got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Derek Taylor out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Parker Byers was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.

Cristo Rey's loss was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-5. As for Sacramento Country Day, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.

Cristo Rey will head out on the road to face off against Western Sierra Collegiate Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sacramento Country Day, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sacramento Adventist at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sacramento Adventist has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 7.
