Basketball Recap: Democracy Prep Agassi Campus Comes Up Short

Democracy Prep Agassi Campus's tournament run continued when they took on Rancho Cucamonga on Friday. The Democracy Prep Agassi Campus Blue Knights took a 68-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rancho Cucamonga Cougars. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Blue Knights came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked fifth in Nevada, while the Cougars are ranked 61st in California).

Democracy Prep Agassi Campus' defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Rancho Cucamonga, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-6.

Democracy Prep Agassi Campus won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Rolling Hills Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Rancho Cucamonga, they and Oakland Tech will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. One thing working in Rancho Cucamonga's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
