Volleyball Recap: Parkway Center City Bulldogs vs. Franklin Towne Warriors

Parkway Center City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell just short of the Franklin Towne Warriors by a score of 3-2. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

Parkway Center City wouldn't go down easily and took Franklin Towne into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking nine-point loss. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-21, 20-25, 22-25, 15-6.

Franklin Towne found their leader in underclassman Antonia Marchino, who had seven aces and five kills. The dominant performance gave Marchino a new career-high in aces.

Parkway Center City's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Franklin Towne, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Parkway Center City will face off against George Washington at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. George Washington will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Parkway Center City surely won't give up without a fight. As for Franklin Towne, they will take on Neumann-Goretti at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
