Basketball Recap: Braymer Bobcats vs. St. Elizabeth Hornets
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Braymer can now relate to. They received a blow on Friday as they fell 78-63 to the St. Elizabeth Hornets. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 255th, while the Hornets are ranked 121st).
Gavin Williams was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double with 18 points and nine boards for St. Elizabeth. Williams is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last six games he's played. Nick Heckemeyer was another key player, putting up 12 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
