Basketball Recap: Cary Christian Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Cary Christian lost against St. David back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cary Christian Knights took a 34-18 bruising from the St. David's Warriors. The matchup marked the Knights' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Cary Christian lost, don't look at Brooke Myers. Despite the final result, she posted six points and nine steals. Myers has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last six times she's played.

Eliza Everett had a dynamite game for St. David's, almost dropping a triple-double on 16 points, 11 boards, and nine steals. That's the most steals Everett has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Hauser, who earned four points along with six boards and four steals.

Cary Christian's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6. As for St. David's, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Cary Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Trinity Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. David's, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll square off against GRACE Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
