Basketball Game Preview: Doss Dragons vs. Fairdale Bulldogs

The Doss Dragons will head out to take on the Fairdale Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Doss knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Fairdale likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, everything came up roses for Doss against Iroquois as the team secured a 55-26 win. The Dragons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 games by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Fairdale beat Southern 39-35 on Friday.

Doss is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.0 points over those games. As for Fairdale, the victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-17.

Doss won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, slipping by Fairdale 37-36. The rematch might be a little tougher for Doss since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
