Corvallis's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Stevensville Yellowjackets. The Blue Devils' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Adrian Cardullo made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 16 over seven innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.

In other batting news, Owen Marston was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs. Maurice Craun was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Corvallis' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Stevensville, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.
