Baseball Recap: Erie's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

The Erie Tigers didn't have quite enough to beat the Douglas County Huskies on Tuesday and fell 9-7. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly two runs.

Erie got a good showing from Easton Agnew, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. What's more, Agnew gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in April.

On the hitting side, Kodie Shafter made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Austin Muir, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Erie's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-7. As for Douglas County, they moved to 10-13 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

As of now, neither Erie nor the Huskies have any future games scheduled.
