Basketball Game Preview: Kenmare/Bowbells vs. Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier Rangers

Kenmare/Bowbells will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier Rangers at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.

Kenmare/Bowbells is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Bottineau just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell to the Braves/Stars 50-45. The game marked Kenmare/Bowbells' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier posted their biggest win since February 19th on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Kidder County co-op [Steele/Tappen] 57-29. The Rangers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Kenmare/Bowbells' defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2. As for Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3.

Kenmare/Bowbells didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 53-49 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kenmare/Bowbells since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
