Basketball Recap: JC Bermudez Doral Starts Season with Victory on the Road

JC Bermudez Doral had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 65-53 victory over the Pinecrest Prep Crocs.

Pinecrest Prep's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Gabriel Guzman, who posted 17 points and eight boards, and Dwayne Toussaint, who earned 13 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Castellon, who put up four points and four steals.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. JC Bermudez Doral will head out to take on Westland Hialeah at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pinecrest Prep, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Homestead at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
