Soccer Game Preview: Riverside vs. Austin

The Riverside Rangers will face off against the Austin Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Austin took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Riverside, who comes in off a win.

Riverside will bounce into Thursday's match after beating Ysleta, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Rangers beat the Indians by a goal, winning 4-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for Riverside.

Meanwhile, Austin's game on Tuesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of San Elizario by a score of 2-1. Austin have struggled against San Elizario recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Riverside's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Austin, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Riverside beat Austin 2-0 when the teams last played back in January. Do the Rangers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
