Football Game Preview: Audubon Green Wave vs. Pitman Panthers

After both having extra time off, the Audubon Green Wave and the Pitman Panthers will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Audubon has given up an average of 26.8 points per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Audubon heads in on the heels of a playoff contest last Thursday. They took a blow against Glassboro, falling 41-0. While losing is never fun, the Green Wave can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 243rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 21st).

Meanwhile, Pitman's game back in October was all tied up 14-14 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 28-16 to Gateway Regional. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Audubon will have to contain Aidan Upham as he made an impact in Pitman's last game. He picked up 90 receiving yards and two TDs, and also rushed for 44 yards.

Audubon's record is now 2-6. As for Pitman, the defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 4-4.

Audubon couldn't quite finish off Pitman in their previous meeting back in November of 2024 and fell 33-31. Can the Green Wave avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
