Softball Game Preview: Killingly Redmen vs. East Lyme Vikings

Killingly hasn't had much luck against East Lyme recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Redmen are taking a road trip to take on the Vikings at 4:15 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Wednesday, Killingly came up short against Ledyard and fell 10-5.

Meanwhile, East Lyme was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 8-1 to Plainfield.

East Lyme saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooklyn Fineran, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

East Lyme's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Killingly, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Killingly couldn't quite finish off East Lyme when the teams last played on April 8th and fell 6-4. Can the Redmen avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
