Football Game Preview: Middlesex Chargers vs. Northampton Yellowjackets

The Middlesex Chargers will square off against the Northampton Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Middlesex has given up an average of 32 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Middlesex is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Rappahannock on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Chargers were outmatched by the Raiders and fell 63-10. The Chargers haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Meanwhile, Northampton entered their tilt with West Point on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Pointers, posting a 35-8 win. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 22-0.

Northampton's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Middlesex, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Middlesex skirted past Northampton 36-34 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Do the Chargers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Yellowjackets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
