Softball Recap: East Prairie Picks Up Eighth Straight Win at Home

East Prairie lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Oran, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's contest. East Prairie was the clear victor by a 17-6 margin over Oran on Thursday. East Prairie might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by ten runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Chloe Jackson, who went 3-for-5 with six RBI, three doubles, and two runs. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Laney Childers, who scored three runs while going 3-for-5.

East Prairie was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .486. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .324 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.4 runs over those games. As for Oran, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
