Topsail barely beat Ledford the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Pirates put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 7-0 win on Monday. The victory was familiar territory for the Pirates, who have now won three contests in a row.

Topsail's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Ledford, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.

Looking ahead, Topsail will face off against North Davidson at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates will need to watch out since the Knights have now posted at least ten runs in their last four matchups. As for Ledford, they will take on Davie County at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the War Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
