Basketball Recap: North Daviess Takes a Loss

If North Daviess was feeling good fresh off their 58-23 takedown of Vincennes Rivet on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The North Daviess Cougars received a blow on Saturday as they fell 56-40 to the Evansville Mater Dei Wildcats. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

North Daviess' defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Evansville Mater Dei, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

North Daviess and West Washington will round out the year against one another at at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Evansville Mater Dei, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Evansville North at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
