Big Game from Oates As Eastern Wayne Won 52-6

Starting off the list is Eastern Wayne's Izeiah Oates, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Oates threw for 201 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 passes. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last four times he's played.

The win (which was Eastern Wayne's fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-2. Oates and Eastern Wayne will venture away from home to square off against North Johnston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Princeton pushed their record up to 4-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Haire and Princeton will host Beddingfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Traquin Watson was instrumental in extending North Johnston's winning streak to five on Friday. Watson was unstoppable, making nine total tackles (3.0 for loss). He really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 75 yards.

This season, Watson has averaged 8.5 total tackles per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 7.38 receiving yards per game. This year he is averaging 49.63 receiving yards.
