Meanwhile, a victory for South Point just wasn't in the cards on Monday as the team wasn't able to take the lead at any point. They were outmatched by Clover at home and fell 91-63.
Despite the defeat, South Point saw an underclassman step up: freshman OB Lowery Jr. had 23 points along with five steals. Another player making a difference was Jaishawn Woods, who posted 15 points in addition to five rebounds.
York's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for South Point, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
