Football Recap: Parker Comes Up Short

Parker had lost three straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 0-3 to make it four. They lost 40-18 to the Menendez Falcons. Despite 132 more yards than the Falcons, the Braves couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Derrell Monroe threw for 211 yards on 22 of 32 attempts. Michael Hills was his top target, picking up 81 receiving yards. On the ground, Tristian Mitchell rushed for 109 yards and one touchdown.

As for Menendez, the win got them back to even at 2-2. They haven't had any issues with Parker recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Dominick Torchio had a dynamite game, rushing for 139 yards and three scores on only 14 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 69 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Coming up, Parker will square off against ED White at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Menendez, they will face off against Ponte Vedra at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
