Football Recap: Troy Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Troy and Southern Columbia Area squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Troy had to settle for second. They took a blow against the Tigers, falling 42-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Trojans were not able to get on the board.

Brayden Andrews produced another solid performance rushing for 181 yards and three scores while picking up 10.6 yards per carry for Southern Columbia Area. Those 181 rushing yards gave Andrews a new career-high. Joey Williams helped out on the ground, rushing for 85 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Troy moved to 11-2 with that defeat, which also ended their ten-game winning streak. As for Southern Columbia Area, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-1.
