Masuk won the last time they faced New Milford and things went their way on Friday too. The Panthers breezed past the Green Wave to the tune of 49-7. The Panthers' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Masuk was led to victory by Aaron Champagne and Michael Charland. Champagne threw for 215 yards and two TDs while completing 83.3% of his passes, while Charland gained 101 total yards and two touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Champagne a new career-high in passer rating (163.2).

The victory got Masuk back to even at 2-2. As for New Milford, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. After each having a week off, Masuk and Killingly will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. on the 17th. The Trailbazers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last. As for New Milford, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bethel at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. The Green Wave will be up against the Wildcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31.25 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
