Softball Recap: Blacksher Takes a Loss

After flying high against Clarke County on Thursday, Blacksher came back down to earth. The Bulldogs came up short against the Jay Royals on Friday, falling 14-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Royals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-10 back in February.

Blacksher saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emeri Ikner, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Blacksher's loss dropped their record down to 19-12. As for Jay, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 19-1.

Looking ahead, Blacksher will square off against T.R. Miller at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Jay, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Walton at 7:00 p.m.
