The South Aiken Thoroughbreds's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their sixth straight loss. They fell just short of Fairfield Central by a score of 47-45. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat South Aiken has suffered yet this season.
Despite the loss, South Aiken still got an impressive performance from Kearstin Grant, who scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Grant has scored all season.
South Aiken has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Fairfield Central, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-7.
