Lake Zurich is a perfect 10-0 against Zion-Benton since September of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Bears will square off against the Zee-Bees at 6:00 p.m.

On Monday, Lake Zurich came up short against Fremd and fell 2-0. The Bears haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-19.

Despite the defeat, Lake Zurich had strong showings from Malia McManus, who had nine digs, and Emme Lawrence, who had four digs and two aces. Ella Elsen also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Meanwhile, Zion-Benton can bid farewell to their three-match losing streak thanks to their match on Monday. They came out on top against North Chicago by a score of 2-0.

While Zion-Benton won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-8.

Lake Zurich's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Zion-Benton, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 6-10.

Lake Zurich beat Zion-Benton 2-0 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
