Baseball Game Preview: Tomball Kings Homeschool vs. Bo Porter Academy Royals

Tomball Kings is 0-3 against Bo Porter Academy since May of 2024 but things could change on Friday. The Homeschool will host the Royals at 3:00 p.m. Neither Tomball Kings nor Bo Porter Academy posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

On Thursday, Tomball Kings didn't have quite enough to beat Fayetteville and fell 3-2.

Steven Mims was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.

At the plate, Brennan Zarro was cooking despite his team's loss, earning one run and three stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Wilkins, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Bo Porter Academy came up short against Cornerstone Christian last Friday and fell 6-2. The loss continues a trend for the Royals in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost four in a row.

Tomball Kings' defeat dropped their record down to 20-16-1. As for Bo Porter Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.

Tomball Kings suffered a grim 10-1 defeat to Bo Porter Academy in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Homeschool avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
