Preview: New Bloomfield Wildcats vs. Chamois Pirates
The New Bloomfield Wildcats are on the road again on Thursday and play against the Chamois Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on December 14th. Hopefully New Bloomfield focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday.
Last Friday, New Bloomfield was beaten by South Callaway 69-36. New Bloomfield has struggled against South Callaway recently, as their game on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Jacob Fuhriman put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 14 points. The matchup was his third in a row with at least ten points. Alex Massman was another key contributor, scoring 6 points.
Meanwhile, Chamois strolled past Bourbon with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 49-35. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Chamois.
New Bloomfield's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Chamois, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.
New Bloomfield came up short against Chamois in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 61-53. Can New Bloomfield avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
