Basketball Recap: Jayden Quesenbury's Big Game Can't Quite Lead West Caldwell over Wilkes Central

West Caldwell was the 75-33 winner over Wilkes Central when they last played one another back in December of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors fell 53-40 to the Eagles on Tuesday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

West Caldwell lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jayden Quesenbury, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Sawyer Poarch, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and ten rebounds.

Jordan Parks produced another solid effort going 6-for-11 en route to 19 points and four steals for Wilkes Central. With that strong performance, Parks is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Fernando Allen, who posted eight points.

West Caldwell's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Wilkes Central, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

West Caldwell has already played their next matchup, a 58-46 loss against Bandys on the 4th. As for Wilkes Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 67-64 win against West Iredell on the 5th.
